Upgrade Procedure to minimize downtime.
This overview assumes that the version of PERFECT FIT that you are installing does not need data reorganization, and that you have the PF Opener file installed (PERFECT_FIT).
Other users can continue to work in PERFECT FIT during this process.
1. Download the new PF library to your Computer
2. Unzip the download file.
3. Copy the unzipped file to your local PFit Folder
4. Open PF from your desktop shortcut and follow the prompts.
5. repeat steps 1-4 on each user’s computer
6. Run Diagnostics and send to us.
This overview assumes that the version of PERFECT FIT that you are installing DOES need data reorganization (see Tech Notes), and that you have the PF Opener file installed (The PF Opener file is named PERFECT_FIT).
Other users can continue to work in PERFECT FIT until step #5
1. Download the new PF library to your Computer
2. Unzip the download file.
3. Copy the unzipped file to your local PFit Folder
DO NOT OPEN PERFECT FIT.
4. repeat steps 1-3 on each user’s computer
This next step requires all users to exit PF, usually for 5 – 15 minutes
5. Everyone to Exit out of PF.
6. Make a data backup by copying all segments of the PFDATA file to another folder.
7. Open PERFECT FIT (on the Server first if that is an option). Answer all the prompts to upgrade.
8. Run Diagnostics and send to us.
