Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop ( formerly known as as ‘Terminal Services’) allows remote access, from anywhere in the world, to the Perfect Fit datafile on your server.
To set up Remote Desktop you will need a dedicated server with Windows Server 2008 or newer.
Remote Desktop is included with the server software but needs to be specifically set up. We recommend hiring an outside network technician to do this for you as AG Systems will not support your network.
Once you have Remote Desktop installed you will need to create a profile on the server for each person who will access Perfect Fit. Each profile will need to have Perfect Fit installed. For example, you have 3 people, Jim, Sara, and Bob, who will each access Perfect Fit on the server. So you will have to create 3 profiles, 1 for Jim, 1 for Sara, and 1 for Bob. Perfect Fit needs to be installed in each of those profiles.
The Perfect Files you will need to download, unzip, and install are the PF7 Library file, Omnis Studio, and the Reports library. The following links will take you to the download page:
Note that there are two version of Omnis, 4.2 and 4.3. The version you need to install is dependent on the serial number
you purchased. If your serial number starts with “WBRN42” get the 4.2 version. If your serial number starts with “WBRN43”
get the 4.3 version.
