Customer Orders can be assigned a Priority Code.
This can be used to indicate priority of picking or shipping or production.

Some windows and reports can be sorted by Priority.
See Pick > Pick Issued Listening window.
Click the “P” column header to sort.
On the Order window click Info.
Edit the Priority field to change the current priority.
The user can enter a number or up to 3 letters.
This field will sort alphabetically.
Therefore a sort might look like this: 1, 10, 2, 23…..
Since the human brain likes to put numbers in numerical order this can get confusing.
To get proper sort with numbers make ALL Priorities a single digit: 1, 2, 3…
To use 2 digit numbers use preceding zeros for ALL priorities 1 to 9: 01, 02, 03… 11, 12…..
An alternative is to user letters: A, AB, AC, B, B3, CAT…
In addition to manual entry on orders, customers can be setup with Priority codes.
See The Customer window > Info > Defaults tabframe.
The Priority entered here will automatically populate the Orders for that customer.

Since Pick Tickets are linked to orders, the priority on the Order can be used as the Priority on the Pick.
Order headers can be batch updated with priority Using Order Header Import for Update.
