Inventory Movements Quantity Reconciliation – Finished Goods

The Inventory Movements file is the audit trail for all inventory quantities going in and out of the system.
The total of all Movements for a single item should match the total inventory in stock.
The total of all Movements for a single item at a single Locations should match the total inventory in stock at that Location.

Fixes for errors may vary depending on the which numbers are not correct.

Single Stock Number fix:
Menus > Inventory Finished Goods
Find the Stock Number in question.
Use the Location Dropdown to display All Locations
Click the Movements button.

Sometimes just opening the Movements window will fix the error.
It will update the Total and Location quantities from the Movements file.

Examine the Movements records.
If any movements are missing a Location (Loctn) they need to be fixed on the Prog Movements window.
There should be no quantities in columns with sizes that are Not Offered.

From the main Inventory window Click the Locations button.
The total of All Locations should match the Total In Stock displayed at the top of the list.

Batch fix:
Commands > Reconcile Inventory
If the Movements file is correct, this command will update the locations file and the main Inventory file.

The Movements file controls the quantities displayed on all windows and reports.
