Batch Update Order Items Price using Import Tool (PF8)

This method only works if all sizes of a single stock number are consolidated on one line.

The import tool will allow you to update orders with a new price.

WARNING: You must Test / Practice in your TEST DATABASE before using your production database!

This has been requested to do recent tariff increases (2025)

Three fields are required for this import:

OI_ORN which is the order number you want to update.

and

OI_IVNUM which is the item you want to update.

and

OI_PRICE which it the price you want to update.

Getting the data.

Go to MenusSQL > Orders from Customers > Reports > Order Item Reports

In the Red Box Need as picture. In the search box select the (Order date or Start Date or Cancel Date) and your date range for the orders you want to update.

The other search filters are optional.

Export Direct to Excel or Export Preview / Export File if you are using Windows.

Export Preview / Export File if you have a Mac (Direct to Excel has not been enabled on a Mac).

Report will look like this

Open the report in Excel.

Need Column Headers

STOCK # (Change to OI_IVNUM)

ORDER # (Change to OI_ORN)

ORDER SELL PRICE. This column has your existing pricing. Change to your new pricing. Might be easier to add a column next to ORDER SELL PRICE
and add your new pricing. Either way need a final column called OI_PRICE.

Your file should look like this when you are finished updating your orders.

Save you file as comma separated (.csv)or tab delimited (.txt).

Next go to Go to MenusSQL > Orders from Customers > Commands > …Options >Order Processing > Update Order Items – Import

First click Index on OI_ORN and OI_IVNUM (1)

Then click on Load Files and Validate (2) and find your file.

If there are no errors, click ok.

Spot check your data.

Click Update OrdersItems (1).

Then Update the Order Items? Click yes.

Click OK

Click Yes. And go the first order and check your data.
