Batch Update Inventory Items using the Import Tool (PF8)

The import tool will allow you to update certain Inventor fields.

WARNING: You must Test / Practice in your TEST DATABASE before using your production database!

There is not an undo feature. Of course you could always reimport.

When you are comfortable and ready to update your production database, please only do a few the first time. Not your entire file.

If data looks good, then you can do your entire file.

You will need a tab or csv file to import your data.

To get the column names please go to: MenusSQL > SQL Column Lookup

You CANNOT change ivstyle, iv_design_code, iv_colorcode, ivsize_cat. These make up your IVNUM.

This lesson will update iv_sellprice1 (Sell $ in inventory style master) and iv_srp (Suggested Retail Price)

Your file should look like this:

MenusSQL > Inventory Finished Goods > Commands > Build Styles > Import Inventory Products

Update Requires IVNUM

Click your file format (tab or csv).

Click update.

Click load list.

Find your file and click ok.

If no errors, click ok.

Then click update.

Then click Yes

Then Click OK

Check your data.
