7345: Trans Diagnosis – Post Date Too Far In Future
We have made the assumption that transactions in the system would be considered data entry errors if they were posted more than 40 days into the future.
The diagnostic error report shows the TRX# (also known as TSEQ#) number so you can examine the specific transaction that has this error.
Go to Maintenance > Programmer’s > PROG > Windows > Transactions
Find on TRX# (as shown on the diagnostic report).
Edit the Transaction to change to the correct POST date.
Do this for all transactions with future post dates, as shown on the diagnostic report.
DO NOT change the post date into a closed period.
After all the fixes are done you should print Diagnostics again within a few days.
Note that this fix does not update the Account Balance Summary. You can learn more about this file and fix it by following the instructions in User Guide #39. This fix is optional, as when periods are closed it will be fixed automatically.
