If the Multiple Inventory Locations module is installed after the company has been using PERFECT FIT without locations, some updates will need to be run to make the old inventory compatible with locations.

    After installing the Locations module:

Maintenance > Maintenance > Preferences > Inventory Finished Goods.”>1. Go to Menus > Maintenance > Maintenance > Preferences > Inventory Finished Goods.

Click the Locations tab then place a check in the preference labeled “Use Multiple Finished Inventory Locations”, then press OK.

    2. If you did not already enter a default location, do this:

    Inventory > Definitions > Locations.
Insert only 1 Location and place a check in the box for Type F/G Inventory. Use a short code, 1 or 2 characters only.
This will be the location that your previous inventory was received to and shipped from.

    Must use PF7.120401 or later!

Locations button”>5. Inventory window > Locations button

Confirm the items are in the new location.
