ERROR WHEN EXECUTING PROCEDURE STARTUP/480. UNEXPECTED ERROR, BAD FILE NUMBER PASSED TO DATA MANAGER.
This error is generated when the PERFECT FIT Library can not find a valid Datafile and tries to open some other file.
The standard name for the data file is PFDATA.df1, or PF Data
This can happen on a network when PERFECT FIT loses the connection to the real Datafile, or the path.txt file become corrupt.
To fix:
Confirm that the computer that has this problem is connected to the network.
Delete the path.txt (In the PFIT folder on the C Drive) and reopen PERFECT FIT. You will get a message that the path to the data file is missing. Navigate to the server computer and select PFShared > pfdata.df1
