Account numbers contain a “factor” number that will determine whether a DEBIT or a CREDIT will increase or decrease the balance. Assets have a factor code of 1, Liabilities have a factor code of -1.
If the Factor code is not a 1 or -1, this error is generated.
To fix, go the Account Category window, click Edit, then click OK.
