To change a serial number in PF8:
1. File > Serial Number
2. Enter new serial number
The User Name should be the person who uses that computer the most.
Although not required, we recommend you enter the spaces in the serial number to make it easier to read.
3. Click OK to save the entry.
*The change will not take place until you quit PERFECT FIT and then re-open it.
If you are unable to log in to the database because you are getting the message “Too Many workstations in use”, you can select the Training Database, and then change the serial number while connected to that. It will stick when you reopen the program.
Obsolete:
To change a serial number in PF5:
1. File > Long Menu
2. Then to File > Omnis Preferences
3. Select Change serial number
4. Enter new serial number
5. Click OK
*The change will not take place until you quit PERFECT FIT and then re-open it.
