CHANGE FACTORED STATUS ON A POSTED INVOICE

Contents

Change a Posted Invoice From Factored to Non-Factored, or vice versa.

If the Invoice has not been posted:
Delete the invoice, change the factor status on the order, and re-invoice.

If the invoice has been posted, adjusting transactions must be entered (automatically):
    Invoice Window > Edit
Click the button: Change Factor Status

Because PF keeps Accounts Receivable posting of Factored invoices in a separate ledger account, the two A/R accounts must be updated when Factor Status changes.

The internal Ledger Account number for non factored A/R is 1200, and for factored invoices is 1210.

    Example:
    A non-factored invoice posts A/R to 1200 (Debit)
When the factor status is changed it will automatically Credit Account 1200 and Debit Account 1210.

Warning: If the factor status is changed in a different month than the Invoice was originally posted in, The Accounts Receivable AS OF… report may not work correctly, as that report does back out changes in the status.
